One sign is, if the person is discriminating against a specific race, religion or government in ways that they want to wipe them off the face of the earth. Another way to tell is, if the person encourages people to be like them or dress like them and practically worship them. If the person drives someone out of that is running against them and could possibly be a threat to them winning an election then they might be trying to be a dictator. Lastly, if the person is constantly trying to declare a state of emergency so they could have absolute power. these are ways to tell when a dictatorship is forming.
